Ryan: Republicans should follow ‘conscience’ on Trump
House Speaker Paul Ryan says he has no plans for withdrawing his support of Trump. “We’re running our own race, and don’t look for me to endorse anyone in this race probably the rest of the year”. He stunned the political world in May when he held back his endorsement of Trump before grudgingly offering his support earlier this month.

There are some republicans who have had it with their party’s presumptive presidential nominee.
And when asked what he thought about Trump’s spat with the Washington Post, when he revoked the paper’s press credentials, Ryan reportedly laughed and said, “You can’t make this up sometimes”.
“I read about this place”, Trump told a crowd at Gilley’s Dallas South Side Ballroom. Ryan, again forced to answer for what some might consider Trump’s outlandish comments, simply said he doesn’t think he’s ever heard of a campaign doing that before. Of course I do, but that’s not in my control.
“I’m going to stay in my lane”, Upton, R-St.
In the wake of Sunday’s massacre at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Ryan was asked whether the name of an individual whose name has been taken off a terror watch list, or who has been investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation like shooter Omar Mateen, should show up in a gun background check.
“It would be just such a disaster”, Sessions said of any effort to oust Trump. I want to know, who are the soldiers that had that job?
Kasich said he’s “waiting to see” if and how the presumptive GOP nominee would turn himself around in the wake of such contentious remarks. Those colleagues include fellow Wisconsinite Reid Ribble, who says he regards Trump’s temperament and demeanor as disqualifying. But by the time it’s negotiated, they’ll go up.
Ryan, a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, insisted he has no plans to rescind his endorsement of Trump. I think I’m going to be forced to.
Senate Majority PAC’s memo follows a digital ad released Wednesday from the campaign of Ayotte’s likely opponent, New Hampshire Democratic Gov. Maggie Hassan, which showed footage of former defense secretaries Robert Gates and Leon Panetta criticizing Trump’s foreign policy.
“I’ve got thick skin”.
“I’m not out here to disrupt”, he said.
The fourth installment in the six-part House GOP agenda, focused on the Constitution, was unveiled by Ryan (Wisconsin) and other Republican leaders Thursday at a morning rollout in the Capitol’s Statuary Hall.
The state Republican party was similarly noncommittal about the idea of a Trump push in MA.
And, sources underscore, most of these ideas would be incredibly hard to execute – never mind that they understand it would feed into the very real anger at the “establishment” among GOP voters that fueled Trump’s victories in the first place.
Ryan agreed that was a striking finding. “I’m not making a final decision yet but at this point I just can’t do it”, the OH governor said, before adding that he was open to change his decision if Trump toned down his anti-minority attacks.
