League fines Warriors MVP Curry and coach Kerr

The NBA announced Curry’s fine on Friday, and also said that Warriors coach Steve Kerr would be fined the same amount for his critical comments about the officiating after Golden State’s Game 6 loss to the Cavaliers on Thursday night.

Thompson served as the prime example for Golden State’s shooting slump during the first half.

The Cavaliers built a 24-point lead in the third quarter but the Warriors finally closed out the quarter on a 10-0 run to pull within nine points. He scored or assisted on 27 consecutive points in the second half, including scoring 18 straight.

After two games it looked like this series was all but over.

“I mean, without the ball moving, without the screens being set, without the coaching staff putting out the game plans for us offensively then, what I’ve been able to do, it doesn’t happen”.

He dominated Warriors superstar and league MVP Steph Curry, who picked up 30 points but was fouled out before being ejected from the game late on for throwing his mouthguard at a fan.

“He’s the MVP of the league”. He had fouled out for the first time since 2013 and didn’t like the call that resulted in his sixth personal – nor did he like most of the other calls that went against him over the course of the night. Jason Phillips falls for that, for a flop.

When Steph Curry fouled out the fourth quarter of Game 6 of the National Basketball Association finals, he finally blew his top. Both guards finished with four turnovers and one assist. “He should be upset”, Kerr said.

“I’m okay that we lost. But we’ve got to figure it out so that we can take advantage of our homecourt”.

James and company are headed back to Oakland’s Oracle Arena for Sunday’s climactic game with the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy up for grabs.

“They’re great at home”, Thompson said. I just can’t take people coming at my family for absolutely no reason.

“But we’ll make the right corrections and we’ll come back Sunday even better”.
