Arian Foster is one of the best running backs in the NFL, and is one of the biggest impact players in the entire league as well.

But missed time seems like a near certainty for him, and the days of him racking up 300 carries in a season could be over for him.
Texans running back Arian Foster could need surgery for a groin injury he suffered during the team’s first fully padded training camp practice, a source said.
The Texans were viewed by many as dark-horse candidates to reach the playoffs in 2015 after narrowly missing the dance last season.
Foster was splitting time with other backs during the team drills and head coach Bill O’Brien indicated they were just managing his touches.
The former undrafted running back is signed through the 2016 season, following an extension in 2012.
We’ll keep you updated as more details emerge. When healthy, the 28-year-old is a big part of the Texans’ offence.

Foster played in 13 games last season, rushing for 1,246 yards and eight touchdowns. If that were the case, Foster wouldn’t be able to practice for six weeks into the season. The Houston Texans are not now expected to win the AFC South, but there are some that believe they could give the Indianapolis Colts a run for their money.
