In the Citi Open’s first completed match in the women’s singles, Louisa Chirico beat Heather Watson 6-3, 6-0. It appeared to be Watson’s first match image considering that this lady poked crucial front runner Serena Williams to about three groups within the 1/3 round at Wimbledon.
Fish, who plans to retire after the US Open, teamed up with Grigor Dimitrov to beat last year’s Wimbledon champions Jack Sock and Vasek Pospisil.
Murray and Daniel Nestor lost in doubles at night.
Murray is 48-7 this year with titles at Queen’s, Madrid and Munich.
Bellis was the youngest player in 15 years to win a match at the U.S. Open last year.
At the majors, Murray reached one final (losing to Djokovic at the Australian Open) and a pair of semifinals (losing to Djokovic again at the French Open).
“I was asking one of the guides to show some of the secret passages but unfortunately it didn’t get the go ahead”, Murray said. “It’s something I’ve never done before and may never get the opportunity to do again”, Murray said.
The 28-year-old two-time grand slam champion received a bye into the second round. Haven’t quite managed to do that yet this year, but I feel like I’ve played well in all of the Slams.

“I’m really looking forward to playing the Citi Open; I’ve not been in Washington since 2006”. We’re in a good position but Australia for us is a very hard match with the depth they have.
