Jeff Weaver: ‘Tremendous burden’ on Clinton campaign to satisfy young voters
Sanders is pressing his “political revolution” to turn its attention to defeating Donald Trump and wants to work with Clinton to transform the Democratic Party.

Sanders did, however, promise to join her and the Democratic party in a more active role in their effort to defeat Donald Trump.
However, Sanders stressed that the political revolution is broader than electoral politics, although he urged progressive people to “run for office at the local and state level”.
“And we must take that energy into the Democratic National Convention”. Was this just another strong-arm move by the Clintons in which they arrogantly say “just try and stop us”? “It is also true that our views are quite close on others”, Sanders said, delivering his most conciliatory note in months.
Clinton is expected to present her economic vision for the nation next week in OH, giving her a platform to address one of Sanders prime concerns: That the economy has largely benefited the wealthiest Americans as the nation has recovered from the recession.
The Bernie Sanders campaign is hinting that Sen. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is now chair of the Democratic National Committee in “name only”.
“I think there are just too many superdelegates”, Sanders told The York Dispatch during an interview just before Pennsylvania’s April primary. While there is some overlap between the legislative agenda and platform issues, those discussions have been proceeding on separate tracks, Weaver said. The victory left her with 2,219 pledged delegates from state primaries and caucuses.
Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., on Friday endorsed Hillary Clinton for president, calling for party unity to get her elected in November.
Sanders will nearly certainly remain a powerful force on the progressive wing of the party but is now likely to call on his supporters to throw their weight behind Clinton in the face of a historic threat from Trump.
“We need a new generation of people actively involved in public service who are prepared to provide the quality of life the American people deserve”, Sanders said.
Sanders often says he can not simply snap my fingers and make his millions of supporters, many of them millennials, march in line behind Clinton. After voting to formally endorse Clinton, AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka stated “Hillary Clinton is a proven leader who shares our values”.

So no wonder Sanders is arguing his campaign has a objective now that he’s no longer pretending to have the ability to prevent Clinton’s nomination. Yes I understand that the nominee generally takes over the operations of the DNC to prepare for the general election and that makes sense but Clinton has not officially won the nomination yet.
