Jaguars have little hope of Justin Blackmon’s return
The NFL profession of troubled broad receiver seems to be over.

Caldwell said the team has not heard from Blackmon recently, and his 21-month respite from the NFL makes it doubtful he will ever play again in the league.
Jacksonville Jaguars general manager David Caldwell admits that Justin Blackmon’s career could be over due to his indefinite ban by the NFL.
“Realistically, I think when you’re away from the game (this long), what you were once is not what you probably will be”, Caldwell said from his office Tuesday. “Your expertise do erode, and particularly in the event you’re not staying in tip-top form and you are not in soccer form”.
“I don’t know to expect, but I would say common sense would probably be if you haven’t played football in two-and-a-half years apparently that’s not a priority for you”. Before he can get back on an NFL field, Blackmon must apply for reinstatement into the league and then endure a two-month vetting process to determine if he will be allowed to return.
In line with the lawyer who dealt with Blackmon’s most up-to-date courtroom look, Blackmon accomplished a voluntary drug-rehab program in 2014. He was in court in Edmond, Oklahoma, on November. 20, 2014, to plead no contest to misdemeanor marijuana possession.
The Jags appear to be done with Blackmon though they keep him on their roster.
PFT has confirmed that Sanders has been suspended for the first 10 games of the season under the substance-abuse policy. That was Blackmon’s third arrest and his second in Oklahoma.

The Jaguars haven’t minimize Blackmon, and Caldwell has stated quite a few occasions that the workforce doesn’t plan to take action. After he returned to the team, he never found his spot among the wide-receiving corps, as he finished the season with only six passes for 55 yards. Because he’s been on the suspended/non-injured list, the Jaguars haven’t had to pay him and his contract has also been suspended.
