Ryan also said Trump doesn’t have a “blank check” with his endorsement, and suggested a limit to the behavior he’ll tolerate from the presumptive Republican nominee.

“He’s got to do what he’s got to do”, Trump said of Ryan’s comments earlier in the day that he wouldn’t instruct Republican House members to vote for Trump.
Some Republican officials said the party is coming together behind Trump as the nominating convention approaches July 18-21 in Cleveland.
Quoted in the Post, Republican delegate Kendal Unruh said: “This literally is an “Anybody but Trump” movement”.
There is no consensus alternative, which means that the movement against Trump probably will fizzle if it’s perceived as an attempt to install any particular candidate. Beth Myers, who managed 2012 presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s campaign, said White House candidates have unique needs that a broader-brush approach can not always meet.
“Right now, I’m raising a lot of money for the Republican Party, and a lot of beneficiaries, and I like doing it – but we have to have help”, Trump told the crowd in Las Vegas.
Another delegate, Cecil Stinemetz of Iowa, doubled down on the Trump-removal plan, saying, “Trump just continues to embarrass himself and his party and this is not going to let up”. Republicans are abandoning him, including governors, congressmen and members of the party’s national security establishment.
Lauro Garza, a retired police officer who lives in Houston and host the podcast Latinotalk Texas, said he grew up thinking “Mexican” was a negative word to be avoided.
In March, the New York Times reported that several corporations, including Google, Walmart and Apple were assessing whether they should “scale down” their contributions to this year’s RNC due to Trump’s raging bigotry.
A coalition of Republican delegates is mounting a last-ditch effort to block Donald Trump from obtaining the GOP nomination by pushing for a “conscience clause” that would allow delegates to vote against the presumptive nominee. If the proposal passes the committee, it would need to be ratified by a majority of convention delegates the following week.
“They’re trying to get delegates”.
First of all, the Republican National Committee hasn’t even released the full list of delegates, putting a real dent in any organizational effort.
Meanwhile, Trump is dismissing the plots against him.
Trump’s embrace this week of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and potential gun control measures, in contrast to general Republican orthodoxy have also thrown conservative lawmakers. And, of course, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have both said they’ll do whatever it takes to stop Trump. Where’s that horse? I want to go on the horse. “You can’t make this up sometimes”, he said.

Trump has touted that he won 14 million votes in the primaries, though critics like Waters note he only captured 46 percent of the total vote in Republican primaries and caucuses.
