If removed, the app won’t be available for use with CarPlay.
As Apple developers start playing with their preview versions of iOS 10, they are discovering new features like this.
Apple also released their concept of Apple watch operating system and it will be available to use in 2017.

Apple is quietly fixing one of the most annoying things about iOS. The app will actually stay on the device; re-installing it won’t download anything, and will instead simply make the app visible again. Inexplicably on Spotlight search for iOS you’re able to search your device and the web at the same time, but Spotlight search for Mac is limited to just searching within the device. Apple argues the latter shouldn’t be really a reason as it states on its support page that all Apple apps combined take up less than 150MB. The method also carries the risk of not being serviced by an Apple Store, and Apple could seal the method from being used in the future.
