While at Yosemite, the President and the First Lady met up with a group of 4th Graders who were also visiting.Telling the kids about the White House’s 2015 Every Kid in a Park initiative, the Obamas gave each of the students an annual pass to the National Parks. Obama is in Orlando today to pay respects to the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting and meet with families of victims of the attack.

After a night with his family in a rented cabin in the popular park, Obama stuck to his usual routine by rising early Saturday and heading to a recreation center on the grounds for his daily gym workout. The National Park Services manages more than 400 sites around the country and celebrates its centennial in August.

Obama’s weekend in the great outdoors was planned to encourage more people to appreciate and visit numerous nation’s parks.
