Christina Grimmie’s Dad Makes a Heartbreaking Speech at Her Funeral

She was 22. A statement in the tribute’s caption reads, “Christina Grimmie was taken from all of us far too soon, but the impact she had on this world in the short 22 years of her life will carry on forever”. The husband and wife from outside Rochester, New York, drove 7 hours to attend the services at Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford. “That’s how she treated everyone she knew”. “I’m not mad. But I want to know why” Tina said.

Tina added: ‘The last time I saw my daughter was on my birthday.

“I always told her I loved her…” One of her most popular videos was her rendition of “In Christ Alone”, written by Stuart Townend and Keith Getty.

Christina’s father, Bud, comforted his wife with a hug, then addressed the crowd to say how his daughter’s death has left a very big hole in his heart, according to E! “And that’s – there’s this enormous hole in my heart that I know is never going to go away”. No I can’t. But I’ve argued with God, “God, your plans are better than mine?”

Christina was signing autographs after her concert at the Plaza Live Theater when Loibl, armed with two guns, walked up and shot her, before fatally shooting himself as the star’s brother Marcus tackled him.

Christina’s brother, Marcus, recalled the night his beloved sister was shot by a deranged fan.

She later finished in the top three on the sixth season of “The Voice“, performed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, “Dancing with the Stars”, and opened for singer Selena Gomez. Alissa and Joseph, both 24, said they’ve been huge fans of Christina Grimmie since she launched her YouTube channel back when the singer was a high-schooler.

Lastly Christina’s brother Marcus, who tried to stop gunman Loibl hurting any more people during his attack, was courageous enough to say a few words about his sister just as he did at a candlelit vigil.

“All the rumors are true that when the gunman came … her arms were open”, Marcus said during Christina’s June 17 memorial service, according to Us Weekly.
