MU Poll: Clinton Leads Trump
Bloomberg’s new poll finds Clinton leading by 12 percentage points nationally in the wake of the Orlando massacre – although, curiously, a slight majority also said they felt Trump would be a better leader in the wake of similar attacks than Clinton.

According to a CBS poll released Thursday, Clinton leads Trump 43% to 37% – numbers that are down significantly for both candidates from a couple months ago, when they garnered closer to 50% and 40%, respectively.
And while the week-long poll conducted from June 6 to 12 saw a dip in support for Trump, results could continue to shift in the coming weeks in the aftermath of the massacre at an Orlando gay night club that killed 50 people-the largest mass killing in recent US history.
Currently, 71 percent of voters view Trump unfavorably compared to 55 percent for Clinton.
These results indicate that Clinton appears to be gaining ground in a match-up against Trump and that most voters think she will win in November.
Another poll out today from ABC News/Washington Post shows Trump with his worst negative rating since announcing his candidacy, with 70 percent of Americans saying they view him negatively – by far the worst result in history for any major party nominee.
The poll was conducted last Thursday and Friday of 630 Iowans who are registered to vote. Last month, the presumptive Democrat nominee held a 47 to 41 percent over the billionaire.
It should come as no surprise since the presumptive GOP nominee has spent the days following the attack congratulating himself and amping up his anti-Muslim policy proposals, all while leaders in both parties condemn his rhetoric.
The Post’s poll isn’t full of rosy news for Hillary Clinton, either.
Among Republicans, 52 percent have a favorable view of Trump, while 35 percent have an unfavorable view.
Donald Trump used to love nothing more than boasting about his poll numbers: His recitation of them was a staple of his campaign speeches. Thirty-two percent had an unfavorable opinion.
The proportion of voters who said they would not vote for either candidate has risen steadily over the past week. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.9 percentage points and was commissioned by the Constitutional Responsibility Project, a group targeting Grassley over the controversy about the vacant Supreme Court seat.

A Morning Consult poll, which also was conducted in April, said Grassley’s approval rating was 55 percent. She now enjoys 42 percent support; Trump has 38 percent, Johnson has 9 percent support and Stein has 5 percent.
