Bondi isn’t the only state attorney general to engage in questionable dealings with Trump.

FLORIDA -It’s been revealed that Pam Bondi personally solicited a political contribution from Donald Trump at the same time her office deliberated joining an investigation of alleged fraud at Trump University.$25,000came from a Trump family foundation to Bondi four days after her office publicly announced she was considering joining a NY state probe of Trump University’s activities. Emails from the same time period show that her office was reviewing the NY allegation. Trump University was also operating in Texas without a required business license, a criminal misdemeanor under state law, he said. “If elected president I know he will bring America’s best minds together to preserve what we have, and secure what we need, for the future”, she said as was reported by Florida Politics.

Meanwhile, top Democrats have called for an investigation into the money and Bondi’s decision not to follow up on complaints from Florida residents about Trump University.

The fact that the office of Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi decided against investigating charges of fraud against Trump University after receiving the $25,000 donation is considered suspicious by many because of Trump’s own words about his expectations when he makes donations. However, the NY investigation centers on only Trump University. Bondi dropped an inquiry into Donald Trumps troubled Trump University despite complaints from citizens, according to internal documents reviewed by The Associated Press.

“In addition to the money given by his foundation, Trump himself has donated $253,500 since in Florida since 1999, most of it going to Republican candidates, the state party or political committees affiliated with GOP officials”, the AP reports.

“When I want something I get it”, the presumptive Republican nominee said at an Iowa rally in January. The Miami Times reports that she was one of a few Trump supporters who took part in a strategy call this week.

The Times reported that Bondi did not answer questions related to a conference call she had with Trump on Monday. He added that the appeal for campaign cash came before her office considered investigating the so-called “school”. Floridians who believe they’ve been fleeced are still due a full investigation.

Gelber said the Florida attorney general’s office has “great discretion” in determining how to use its considerable enforcement powers. I don’t think Pam Bondi can either. A spokesman for Abbott, who is now governor of Texas, said the case was dropped after Trump’s organization agreed to stop offering real-estate seminars in the state. Since when did NY take over responsibility for protecting Florida’s consumers?
