Finding Dory headed for box office record
He said, “I really had no plans of ever going back, didn’t see a reason to, until 2011 [when] I was asked to watch Finding Nemo in 3D”. In “Finding Dory”, the fish, voiced again by Ellen Degeneres, is searching for her parents that she has just remembered. For Friday, the Finding Nemo sequel is projected to scoop up $50 million to $52 million. “What’s the saying? If your mind can conceive it and your heart can believe it then get on TV and beg for it until the people at Disney make it come true”.

If children start asking their parents for a Dory following the new film, that could have an impact on the Blue Tang, which has a hard time being bred in captivity.
For those not familiar with the plot (it has been promoted through the wazoo), it centers around Dory, a fan favorite from 2003’s “Finding Nemo”, and her search for her long lost parents who she had forgotten about.
The movie is awash with visual gags, from Hank’s camouflaging ways to the good ol’ hitting-your-head-on-the-wall gag.
The short film attached to “Finding Dory”, “Piper” follows an adorable sandpiper who is trying to figure out how to get clams while avoiding the big scary waves that keep sweeping in.
Directed by Andrew Stanton (“Finding Nemo”, “WALL•E”), co-directed by Angus MacLane (“Toy Story OF TERROR!”), and produced by Lindsey Collins (co-producer “WALL•E”), Disney•Pixar’s FINDING DORY swims into theaters June 17, 2016. Albert Brooks also returns as Marlin and Hayden Rolence takes over as the voice of Nemo from the now thirteen-years-older Alexander Gould, who does have a small cameo.
Of course, she’s found a new family in Marlin and Nemo, but she’s haunted by the belief that someone out there is looking for her. After a while, the novelty of repetition (ironical, no?) wears off and you have to kinda ask why so many scenes needed to be loopy/ go around in circles. Also aiding her in her quest are Destiny (Kaitlin Olson), a near-sighted whale shark, and Bailey (Ty Burrell), a beluga whale whose normally reliable sonar is on the fritz.
There are good indicators that Finding Dory will crush earlier records.
One of the best characters though is Becky, a quirky but silent bird that helps Marlin out of a few binds.
Much of the evolution of Pixar Animation comes in the details.
