With The LEGO Batman Movie arriving in cinemas early in 2017, it’s not like we’re going to be short of LEGO on the big screen in the near future.

Fans of the franchise who will be jonesing for some LEGO action (and for some reason aren’t fulfilled by the numerous set pieces that can be built in the meantime), can get their fix from two other LEGO movies that will be released on schedule.

The sequel to Warner Bros.

– Warner Bros. has pushed Gerard Butler drama “Geostorm” back nine months to October 20, 2017, and delayed “The Lego Movie 2” until 2019, Variety reports. Instead of hitting theaters on May 18, 2018, The LEGO Movie 2 will debut almost a year later on February 8, 2019.

Little is known about the story at this point – not surprising since the movie doesn’t come ot for two and a half freaking years – but Lord and Miller previously teased a four year time jump in the narrative and an increase in female characters. Unusual at the box office. Initially scheduled for March 25, 2016 release before being pushed back to October 21, 2016 and then to January 13, 2017, the sci-fi adventure flick which marks Dean Devlin’s directorial debut is now slated to hit theaters across the nation on October 20, 2017.

Although they’ve stepped down as directors, Lord and Miller are reportedly still on board to act as producers and are also co-writing the forthcoming film’s script.
