The MP was due to introduce a report she had been working on with Islamophobia watchdog Tell Mama – called Measuring Anti-Muslim Attacks – according to the group’s director.

“Tell Mama, a non-profit organisation monitoring anti-Muslim incidents, said on Twitter: “#JoCox MP was to launch our report on anti-#Muslim bigotry in 2015 later in the month.
According to the page, which was set up by “Jo Cox’s friends in London” – including Nick Grono, chief executive of The Freedom Fund and Gemma Mortensen, chief global officer of Change.org – the three charities were “chosen by her family”.
Three police forces involved in the study reported a further 1,200 incidents which Tell Mama extrapolated to give a national estimate.
The Times reports that on June 29 she planned to launch the report in Parliament and play the video.
She also mentioned the situation in her constituency had gotten so bad that “many of our young women don’t feel safe when they’re out on the street”.
The director of Tell Mama, Fiyaz Mughal, said there were significant clusters of far-right activity in Yorkshire and that the charity’s annual report would detail an increase in anti-Muslim activity in the United Kingdom a year ago. He added: “The immorality of the far right knows no bounds”.
MPs are returning to Westminster today to pay tribute to Mrs Cox. He was remanded in custody until his next appearance, a bail application at the Old Bailey on Monday.
Under a plan floated by a Conservative backbencher, Jason McCartney, MPs would leave their normal places on the Commons benches and sit with members of other parties in a display of unity.
