The board looks as good as ever, crafted from bamboo, carbon fibre, liquid nitrogen-cooled superconductors and permanent magnets, and pouring clouds of vapour in a suspiciously atmospheric manner.

Lexus has released a third teaser video of its surprising hoverboard prototype ahead of its official unveiling on August 5. So we’ll get to see it in action at the Lexus hoverpark, a specially-made skatepark that is rumoured to be in Cubelles, a village near Barcelona, Spain.
“It’s the flawless example of the fantastic things that can be achieved when you combine technology, design and imagination”.
The latest clip appears to show the working hoverboard travelling along the ground for the first time.
The hoverboard, which is actually called Slide, is the product of not only Lexus but also its partnerships with experts in super conductive technology.

Then auto company Lexus went and dropped the bomb with this teaser about a potential fully-operational hoverboard. A reporter for The New York Times says of his Hendo test drive: “No, I didn’t feel like Marty McFly”, referencing the Back to the Future character. That’s when Lexus will finally pull the sheet off its highly-anticipated hoverboard project. Well, now we know what we’re doing next week on the 5th.
