After Christina Grimmie, another Voice alum shot dead

Alejandro “Jano” Fuentes was in a vehicle on South Archer Avenue outside of the Tras Bambelinas performing arts studio he ran for young people when someone walked up, showed him a gun and told him to get out, the Chicago Tribune reported.
Alejandro Fuentes, a former contestant on Mexico’s version of The Voice, has died in Chicago after being shot multiple times, authorities told AFP. When he refused, the shooter shot him thrice in the head.
His death comes 10 days after singer Christina Grimmie, who appeared on the United States edition of The Voice, was shot and killed in Orlando, Florida. Police said on Saturday they have no one in custody over the attack, and are still investigating if it was a failed robbery or carjacking. Ms Grimmie was fatally shot while signing autographs at a concert venue in Orlando on Friday 12 June. He was in a critical condition and rushed to the city’s Mount Sinai Hospital.

The singer participated in the Mexican version of the competition show in 2011. Her attacker then killed himself.
