Ambrose pulls off stunner, claims WWE title
Cena grabs Styles for the AA. Gallows and Anderson ran in, hit Cena with the Magic Killer, then pulled Styles on top before running off. The ref came to, and then counted the three. A decline was expected in his absence, but perhaps not that substantial, especially when the superstar they are/were grooming to take over for Cena (Reigns) is consistently headlining those shows.

The referee rises and reenters the ring. Cena would power up however, with the ref getting knocked down in the commotion. Then the next moment happened and the place exploded. Cesaro introduced the ring to European uppercuts. If he wasn’t the favorite going in, he was a close second behind Kevin Owens.
Chris Jericho is an interesting option in this match. It also doesn’t hurt Y2J’s hardcore cred to be rolling around in thumb tacks this late in his career, as he did against Ambrose in their Asylum match.
Main Event – Six-Man Tag Team; Dean Ambrose, Sami Zayn and Cesaro vs Alberto del Rio, Kevin Owens, and Chris Jericho: Mayhem ensued at the end of this affair as Owens superkicked everyone in sight. The possibilities are endless in this contest. The rivalry between Owens and Sami Zayn continued to play out, as Owens powerbombed Zayn onto a ladder, shortly before the match ended. Well, what better way to do that than enter him as the mystery opponent into the ladder match? Yes, the evil foreigner faction didn’t quite find their niche in the modern wrestling world, and Del Rio is still trying to prove his worth to the company since he’s been rehired. The bell was rung, Ambrose closed in for the kill and hit Dirty Deeds on Rollins. Well, he might as well just have fallen off that ladder into obscurity because the series of events that followed essentially put an end to his WWE tenure.
Rollins appeared ready for Ambrose, but Ambrose snuck up behind him with the briefcase to the head. Titus is just a stepping stone in re-building Rusev. After the match, Rusev taunted Titus’ children, who were sitting ringside.
Whosoever will hold the briefcase will definitely get the chance to cash it in at any time for WWE Heavyweight Championship Opportunity. There undoubtedly will be a triple threat match between former Shield teammates Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns for the championship at either Battleground or SummerSlam. Seth and Roman have been embroidered in a program against each other, occasionally crossing paths with Dean Ambrose, and this could potentially be setting up either The Shield three-way or The Shield Reunion.

During the final minutes of the fight, Reigns went for a spear but Rollins countered him with a signature move – the pedigree. Reigns kicked out of Rollins’ pin attempt. There was a lot of really good back-and-forth action and near falls, including a great one near the 19-minute mark when Rollins hit a superplex/Falcon’s Arrow combination. Reigns is supposed to be the badass babyface but gets showered in boo’s every time his music hits.
