Agent remains hopeful Colts can reach deal with TY Hilton

Rosenhaus went on to say talks were “productive” and that there was no firm timetable for a deal, via Bremer.

Assuming Rapoport’s report is accurate and combined with Hilton’s agent Drew Rosenhaus’ assertion Tuesday that Hilton wants to remain with the franchise “for his career,” there now seems little for Colts fans to worry about where Hilton is concerned.

Ian Rapoport of NFL.com weighed in on the chances of the team wrapping up deals for Hilton and offensive lineman Anthony Castonzo.

“There is optimism that they could finish both extensions before training camp ends”, Rapoport said. “Once camp ends, then business starts, and it’s no more time to talk contracts”.

“T.Y. loves playing for this organization”, Rosenhaus said. He wants – and deserves – a new contract and it’s very likely he’ll get it.

Hilton is coming off his first Pro Bowl selection, having caught 82 passes for 1,345 yards and seven touchdowns last season. Given his past performance, it’s only a matter of time before he receives a deal more in line with his abilities. NFL Network is here, as is SiriusXM NFL radio.

First, the wide receiver showed up to camp showing off his fancy new cheeseburger-inspired backpack, and now he is looking to curry favor with the team’s quarterback by putting Andrew Luck’s face on his socks.

“If you play well, you get taken care of, that’s sort of the way I see it”, Castonzo said, via the Indianapolis Star.

The Colts are anxious to lock up the 25-year-old long term and may need to give him something in the range of Dez Bryant and Demaryius Thomas’s five-year, $70 million deals.

Would the Colts plug Dorsett into the starting lineup in 2016, allowing Hilton to walk as a free agent?
