New trailer for Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

It’s weird, it’s a bit kooky and it might just be the Tim Burton film we’ve all been waiting for… the one which proves, once again, that the iconic director can make brilliantly twisted movies.

Although the titular children of Tim Burton’s new film adaptation of Ransom Riggs’ novel possess odd talents (or “peculiarities”) passed down through genes, these powers are more Gothic than superheroic, as the film’s newest trailer demonstrates.

After all, it features all the hallmarks of what made the director great. That is, until Hugo (Asa Butterfield), who is 16, comes to protect them. Because 20th Century Fox has jumped on the “trailer for a trailer” bandwagon and released a new teaser.

While the children are peculiar, the plot isn’t.

And that’s not necessarily a bad thing. And, yes, if this movie is a hit, Riggs has already written two Miss Peregrine sequels, Hollow City and Library of Souls, that could be come future movies. When Jake discovers clues to a mystery that spans different worlds and times, he finds a magical place known as Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.

In addition to Butterfield and Green, you can look for other familiar faces like Dame Judi Dench, Rupert Everett, Chris O’Dowd, Terence Stamp, Ella Purnell, Kim Dickens, Allison Janney and Samuel L. Jackson.
