Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving (2) against Golden State Warriors guard Shaun Livingston (34) during the first half of Game 6 of basketball’s NBA Finals in Cleveland, Thursday, June 16, 2016. But he’s been on the court for all 20 postseason games and has bumped up the production, putting in 25.5 per contest.

Irving and the Cavaliers twice staved off elimination at the hands of the Golden State Warriors to force a Game 7 at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, with wins both on the road and at home, but in order to claim the franchise’s first-ever NBA Championship, the young veteran believes it will be the most hard thing he will do in his career. However, in his first extended go-around in The Finals, Irving has proven up to the challenge.

Irving is right. I’m sure there’s going to be plenty of words written about LeBron’s greatness moving forward, so I won’t harp too much on it, but it’s great to see Kyrie embrace James like this.

It may be harsh to discredit the incredible things that James did throughout the Cavs’ comeback, but it would also be unfair to Irving not to give him the credit he deserves for making the big shot when it really, really, really counted.

When asked by a reporter what the black body harness was, Irving said, “It’s a Subpac, you’ll be hearing about it soon”. “And then, we’re getting out in transition, I mean, it’s just unbelievable to be a part of”.

The summer of former Duke Blue Devils Kyrie Irving is off to a great start since he just won his first NBA Championship last night in Cleveland.

“Just accepting it, don’t shy away from it”, Irving said.
