Trump doubles monthly campaign fundraising, lags Clinton
Including allied super PACs, Trump’s effort had just short of $2 million in cash while Clinton’s side had $94 million. Brown said. “In these three key states, Clinton is doing better, and in the case of Florida much better, among Democrats than Trump is among Republicans”. Clinton is advertising in OH and is visiting the state today for the second time in nine days. And he fired his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, on Monday, after concerns among allies and donors about his ability to run a competitive race. Yet somehow, Trump also refuses to self-finance his campaign. In contrast, Clinton, a Democrat, raised $26.4 million in the month and had $42.5 million on hand on May 31, her filings show. Another group recently spent $1.7 million on an ad critical of Clinton.

Both candidates are nearly equally unpopular among registered voters in OH, with 50 percent saying they have a “strongly unfavorable” opinion of Mr. Trump and 49 percent of Mrs. Clinton.
Trump, who just began actively fundraising last month with a $3.1 million haul, also has a super PAC benefiting him – but it has only $500,000 in the bank.
What could possibly go wrong?
The Republican party has been given another reason to worry as it was revealed Donald Trump’s campaign wallet is dwarfed by rival Hillary Clinton’s.
This is particularly fantastic because just yesterday we upgraded Trump’s campaign from being a “dumpster fire” to a “landfill inferno” – and that was before learning about any of the bombshells in this week’s FEC report.
The two Republican National Convention delegates from Lorain County aren’t involved in the movement to unseat businessman Donald Trump as their party’s presumptive nominee.
Mr. Trump’s team has been slow to build out its national, general election infrastructure. Mitt Romney’s campaign pulled in $23.4 million, versus $39.1 million for Obama. “Get bigger crowds. Get better coverage”, Lewandowski said.
Clinton’s campaign – backed by big donors – had more than $42 million in the bank as of May 31, its report showed.
Senior adviser Barry Bennett said that, while there’s never a good time for a campaign shake-up, he’s glad it came ahead of the convention.
Trump’s late fundraising start is just one of the challenges the real-estate developer faces as he seeks to pivot to the general-election battle.
Clinton also had a hand in bringing in money for the DNC in May.
So far in June, Priorities has bombarded Trump with more than $10 million in negative ads in battleground states, FEC records show, part of a planned outlay of more than $100 million between now and November.
Donors, he said, are waiting to see a less confrontational, more inclusive and more substantive Trump.

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are virtually tied following a surge of support for Trump in the wake of the June 12 terrorist attack at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, according to a new Morning Consult poll. Eychaner gave $2 million to each group. That address was delayed following the Orlando shooting, but Trump is finally preparing to deliver it on Wednesday, June 21st at 10:30 a.m. from NY.
