RHOC Star Josh Waring Arrested: A History Of Drug Use And Theft

Costa Mesa police Lt. Paul Beckman indicated that there may have been a history between Joshua and the man who was shot. A police officer explained in a statement via the LA Times, “Apparently there had been a previous confrontation between [Waring] and the occupants of that residence earlier, and he had returned”.

After the shooting, Joshua made his situation even worse by stealing a vehicle and later trying to outrun authorities after being spotted by a police helicopter.

According to police, after the alleged shooting Joshua left the scene in a stolen BMW SUV, and proceeded to get involved in a police chase before crashing. At about 10:30 a.m., an Orange County Sheriff’s Department helicopter spotted the auto and a chase ensued.

Josh Waring was popped October 10, 2013, for felony grand theft auto involving a 2005 Cadillac that was not his, possession of an opium pipe and needles and with trying to destroy evidence (said needles). After getting into a auto crash, police say Waring abandoned the vehicle and took off on foot. Police say that while the victim’s injuries are serious, he is expected to survive.

Joshua Waring, a San Juan Capistrano resident, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and felony evading police, authorities said. His bail was set at $1 million, police said. He pleaded guilty to a hit-and-run in 2008 and drug possession in 2015 among a handful of drug-related felony and misdemeanor charges over the years, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.

In 2008, Waring pleaded guilty to three felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and six misdemeanors related to drug use or possession.
