In her exclusive interview with Brown, Roberts questions the R&B singer about the long-held belief that he was the one who got his superstar ex-wife Whitney Houston hooked on drugs. He told Roberts, “It was the first time I had actually saw her do drugs… she wasn’t that”. It was the way she talked, it was the way she did things.

Brown, who is unsurprisingly in the process of promoting his tell-all autobiography, “Every Little Step”, was forthcoming about Houston’s drug habits, claiming, “She did drugs”.
“Whether I would have chosen Bobby for my daughter’s husband is not important because the choice was not mine to make”, she continued.
In the 20/20 interview, Brown also opened up about his relationship with the I Have Nothing singer and revealed that he first saw Houston snorting cocaine on their wedding day. While many have blamed Bobby for Whitney’s past drug use, he is denying it all. ‘She didn’t have close friends with her anymore’. Bobbi Kristina was put in a medically induced coma, where she remained for months, after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub by her boyfriend Nick Gordon in their Atlanta home.

In her own memoir, Remembering Whitney, Cissy wrote that she never knew if Whitney and Robyn’s relationship was anything more than platonic, but revealed during a 2013 episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter that she “absolutely” would have had a problem with her daughter being gay. “I hope she can finally rest”.
Brown also wrestles with the death of his daughter, Bobbi Kristina, who also reportedly abused drugs before her death a year ago.
