Canadian teenager Brooke Henderson carded a hole-in-one and birdied three of her final four holes to post a 4-under 67 and held a two-shot lead after the morning wave in the first round of the LPGA Championship at Sahalee Golf Club on Thursday.
In the second round of the tournament at the Sahalee Country Club near Seattle on Friday, the 27-year-old lost eight shots with one double bogey, seven bogeys and a single birdie.
Canadian World Number Four Brooke Henderson had the ideal day on the course in the first round of the Women’s PGA Championship in Seattle including making an ace at the par-3 13.
“I pulled my shot a little but it caught the left apron and funnelled right in”, Henderson, 18, said.
“I actually played pretty well yesterday, but I had a bad hole at No. 17, and dumped two in the water”, Matthew said, per LPGA.com.
