“My heart is broken and all my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Louisiana“, she tweeted the night of the shooting. Schumer introduced a “three-pronged plan” intended to curb gun violence. The critics scoff and say… there’s no way to stop insane people from doing mad things.

Schumer called for a more thorough background check system as she shared details about the lives of shooting victims Jillian Johnson, 33, and Mayci Breaux, 21.
