WSOF 22 featured a couple of championship fights tonight in Las Vegas, but much of the post-card buzz is regarding a brawl, which reportedly involved Khabib Nurmagomedov and the Diaz brothers. Things escalated from there, resulting in Diaz being escorted away while another unknown individual attempted to rush the Nurmagomedov camp but was quickly wrapped up by security. Nate Diaz has called out Numagomedov in the past and this probably led to the altercation.

Salam Aleikum all, get unrealistic number of messages about yesterday’s incident, I can tell you simply: fights between guys occur, there is nothing unusual, but since we’re both UFC fighters, it has become a big hassle this news, yesterday we faced in the tournament to Nate Diaz, and he started verbal fight, after he began swinging.
“I don’t know what it is, both of them need to call Dana (White) and talk to him. I don’t want to see Nate or Nick going to jail or their friend go to jail at my show”.
Along with his position at WSOF, Abdel-Aziz is Nurmagomedov’s manager.

Diaz has not competed since he was absolutely destroyed by now champion Rafael dos Anjos last December, and Nurmagomedov has been out since April 2014 with various knee injuries, but that hasn’t stopped the two from bashing each other, and it seems as if their war has come full circle tonight (August 1, 2015).
