Converse Have Chucks With A Built-In Wah Pedal

Like the Ghost Pedal from students at Purdue, the hacked sneakers could be used to add a wah effect to a plugged in guitar.

Three years in the making, eternally cool shoe empire Converse has unveiled its especially musical “Converse All Wah”, a sneaker that doubles as a wah-wah pedal.

Converse’s Chuck Taylor All Stars and music have always gone hand and… well, foot and shoe.

A flexible sensor in the sole of the shoe registers movements similar to those of pressing an actual Wah pedal. Meanwhile, CuteCircuit’s product, which they’ve called the “All Wah”, does not have a mass market release date, but we are so buying a pair. That information is sent via Bluetooth to a Wah Box, giving your guitar that desired distortion. It seems to work OK, according to the Wah-Lord, but one really has to question the practicality of these things.

Converse have changed the whole damn game, using some sort of rock wizardry to fit a pair of Chuck Taylors with a wah-wah pedal. The sneaker features a plug-in outlet in the sole that can be used with an amp or connected to a Mac or iPhone.
