Ben Affleck launches epic ‘Deflategate’ rant on new HBO show
And of course both men love Tom Brady, so when the topic of Defaltegate came up, neither held back.

“Deflategate is the ultimate bulls***, f***ing outrage of sports, ever”, the actor began. “It’s so f**king stupid that I can’t believe”, Affleck shouted, slurring his words on occasion. And by the way, if the National Football League had a real testing, it really knew how to test for steroids and HGH in the National Football League, there’d be no f-ing NFL.
“What they did was suspend Tom Brady for four days for not giving him his f***ing cellphone and for having a friend who called him ‘The Deflator, ‘” he continued. If I got in trouble for all the things that my friends called themselves, I would be finished. You want to give a guy – because he doesn’t give you his cell phone – a punishment? We won’t bother transcribing most of what he said, and you’ll know why when you have a listen. Instead, they had a reasonable back-and-forth about LeBron’s place in the National Basketball Association pantheon that avoided ignorance or hyperbole and that’s probably why the Affleck clip will go viral tomorrow and Barkley will not. And listen to my voicemails?.And I don’t know, maybe it’s amusing, lovely sex messages from his wife.
“I talk to football players, f-king pro football players – across the board they think it’s bulls-t”, Affleck said. I wouldn’t want guys who I thought were great to know I thought they were great. I would want to keep my opinions to myself.
Affleck joined Charles Barkley as the show’s first few guests during its premiere, and Affleck’s appearance was something to behold. Apparently Simmons also saw these messages, so he cleared the air.

Simmons tweeted that the interview was taped in the late morning and Affleck was simply “fired up”. According to the publication, Bill and Ben had already engaged in a heated debate about Deflategate prior to the cameras rolling for the show’s premiere episode – so that’s why Ben was sacked up when the interview began. Yes, the New England native who is Ben does put his raw feelings about Tom Brady and Deflategate on display in a manner that probably includes more curse words than LeBron James’ speech at the Cavs parade on Wednesday – but it’s not the “s*** show” that people are making it out to be.
