After another long, grueling National Basketball Association season, LeBron James is reportedly “leaning towards” skipping out on the opportunity to represent Team USA in the 2016 Rio Olympics, per Chris Mannix of The Vertical.

This report follows one Sunday stating that Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant is expected to be part of the Team USA roster in Rio.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (23) reacts to a play during the second quarter against the Cleveland Cavaliers in game two of the NBA Finals at Oracle Arena.

James joins a considerable rotation of players who have already withdrawn from competition this summer in Brazil: Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, James Harden and LaMarcus Aldridge will all be resting, and there are several other notable players who won’t be able to participate due to injuries.

According to Yahoo’s The Vertical, league sources indicate “James is leaning toward not competing at the Olympics in Rio this summer”. He’s made the Finals over and over and over again. Alongside James, that group of five players would have conceivably been a viable small-ball lineup for Team USA this summer.
