In what’s undoubtedly the best food-related news since Patti LaBelle started selling her sweet potato pies at Wal-mart, the Girl Scouts of the United States of America are now peddling baking mixes for when you’re craving Thin Mints at three in the morning and cookie season is still a million days away.

The retail price is $3.29 which is actually cheaper than the cookies. Membership has dipped to 1.88 million girls, from 2.1 million three years ago, reported the Christian Science Monitor in January.

According to Fortune magazine, the Girl Scouts sold 194 million boxes (about $776 million in sales) in 2015, about 1 million boxes lower than that they sold in 2014.

No matter who you are, you undoubtedly have strong feelings about which Girl Scout Cookie is the best.

Many people look forward to the time of year when they can satisfy their Girl Scout Cookie fix.

The cookie flavors can be recreated in home kitchens via the mixes (available at area grocers), which boast no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.
