India’s SCO membership will help drive its economic growth:PM
The SCO aimed at strengthening friendly relations among states, maintenance of peace, stability and security in the region, building a new, just and rational global political and economic order, joint efforts in combating terrorism, extremism, separatism and the menace of narcotic substances.

Modi, in his address at the SCO summit, also welcomed Pakistan as a new member, and added that the organisation now represents “40 per cent of humanity and over a billion youth”. It also faces geo-political complexities and security challenges.And, connectivity among the countries of the region is crucial to our economic prosperity. India’s presidency will also promote “consolidation of this recognized global organization, whose influence is continuously growing”, Putin added.
