Bucks select big man Thon Maker with 10th pick in NBA draft
The 7-foot-1, Maker appealed the National Basketball Association to enter the draft and was approved after the league determined he’d had one year of post graduate play.

Maker and Simmons both declared they want to play for the Australian national team, although they want to concentrate on their rookie NBA year rather than joining the Boomers in Rio.
Maker, who most recently was a forward for the Athlete Institute in Canada, was cleared by the National Basketball Association to enter the draft in mid-April. Not only is he raw, but the competition level he’s faced is so much younger than he potentially is at this time. An NBA.com scouting report says Maker has defensive upside and potential as a shooter.
Milwaukee already has centre Greg Monroe, Khris Middleton and the “Greek Freak” Giannis Antetokounmpo on their roster which should mean Maker can develop and play off the bench.
On Thursday, Hammond wasn’t fazed by social media-fueled rumors questioning Maker’s age.
The Bucks picked Brogdon with the 36th selection overall.
The following year, he transferred to the famed Athlete Institute of Ontario, a school that also produced Kentucky freshman Jamal Murray, who was selected three slots before Maker by the Denver Nuggets.
Stay in the know while you’re on the go. The Bucks were about to take Maker to dinner, but the prospect had other thoughts.

I hope for Maker’s sake that this is just a nasty rumor that isn’t true.
