Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post reported that Hurricanes athletic director Blake James announced Young’s suspension via a press release.

“Based on their findings thus far, from what we’ve been told Juwon Young will not be on the team next season”.

The Miami Herald is reporting a source cautioned its possible Young could return but “he’s not in a good position” after, according to the source, Young gained use of a luxury vehicle from a auto agency. Al Quadin Muhammad, who was projected to be a starting Defensive End is also a name they are investigating here as well.

However, Muhammad has not be suspended by the team.

Miami’s probationary period from the Nevin Shapiro scandal is expected to expire in October. In the course of its probe, UM has spoken with multiple athletes in football and at least one basketball player. Young had a breakout 2015 season as a sophomore, making 57 tackles (three for a loss) and forcing one fumble in the ten games he saw action.

Muhammad has been in trouble with UM before. He had 54 tackles and five sacks last season and is UM’s best pass rusher.

Miami linebacker Juwon Young has been suspended indefinitely
