The Cleveland Cavaliers edged out the Golden State Warriors Thursday night to advance to the final game of the NBA Finals on Sunday.
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr reacts to a call against the Cleveland Cavaliers during the second half of Game 6 of basketball’s NBA Finals in Cleveland, Thursday, June 16, 2016.
Against all odds, the 2016 NBA Finals have reached a pivotal, deciding Game 7 on Father’s Day, Sunday night at Oracle Arena in Oakland. Though his team has been on the losing end of three of these six games in blowout losses, Cavaliers point forward LeBron James has easily been the best player for either team in this best-of-seven series.
It wasn’t a great Game 6 for Steph Curry as he was fouled out and ejected from the game for throwing his mouth guard. Curry’s combination of fouling out, mouthpiece-throwing and getting ejected in Game 6 on Thursday night wasn’t because the first 82 games left him exhausted and cranky. Curry said in his postgame interview that he’s thrown his mouthpiece before, claiming that he normally aims and connects with the scorer’s table. “I went over and apologized to him, because I was obviously not where I was trying to take my frustration out”. “He’s been more aggressive, I think, shooting the ball”. “It just hit me, and I was like, ‘Who?”
“I was just kind of debriefed on what the security thought happened with some guy that poses with fake credentials and gets backstage at a lot of events, the NBA Finals and all that stuff”, Curry told The Undefeated as he departed from the arena. “I don’t even know where he was throwing it.he was good about it”.
Both Curry and Kerr were fined $25K following Game 6.
She was referring to the sixth foul that was called on her husband, which resulted in his disqualification – his first since December 2013 – and then his ejection. Despite four minutes and change left on the clock, the contest heard its last rights when Warriors star Stephen Curry got ejected for the first time in his career. “But three of the six fouls were incredibly inappropriate calls for anybody, much less the MVP of the league”.
In two elimination games, James has 82 points, 24 rebounds, 18 assists, seven 3-pointers, six blocks and just three turnovers, despite handling the ball on almost every possession.

Sunday will see a victor takes all match that will either see Cleveland complete the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history, becoming the first team to rally from a 3-1 deficit to claim the crown, or the Warriors crowned as the most successful season in league history with a championship repeat.
