Mr Cameron announced this morning that he would be stepping down following the vote by the United Kingdom to leave the European Union.

“He deserves to be remembered as a great prime minister”.
“I wish he hadn’t done this but I totally understand his reasons, and feel he will be a huge loss to the country and the Conservative Party”.
A Conservative spokesperson said: “Andrew Feldman always said that he would serve alongside the Prime Minister for as long as he was needed”.
Mid-Worcestershire MP Nigel Huddleston, a key ally to Mr Cameron whose constituency adjoins the PM’s, called him a “true statesman”. Two years ago, he successfully fended off a bid for Scottish independence, and last year he unexpectedly won a general election that gave his Conservative Party its first majority in 23 years.
David Cameron’s decision to step down as prime minister, post EU referendum voting, where Britain voted to leave the European Union, has left millions in shock.
Gilad Erdan public security and strategic affairs minister reacted to the resignation of Prime Minister David Cameron saying: “Cameron’s resignation is sad and unfortunate, but proves that he was a smart and responsible leader”.
He said: “The will of the British people is an instruction that must be delivered”.
In a statement issued hours after the result was announced, he said: “I believe this is a great day for our country”.

The leader of the Conservative party, who backed the unsuccessful Remain campaign, said that Britain required “fresh leadership” in light of the referendum outcome.
