Canadian set to play in Cup final at Wembley
Terry became and to this day remains club president of Chelsea Ladies, who play Notts County on Saturday in the first SSE Women’s FA Cup final to be staged at Wembley.

The 38-year-old former Parliament Hill School pupil and Tottenham fan jokes that, as a young girl, she used to imagine herself walking out with a team at Wembley in the guise of Glenn Hoddle.
“When it comes to Slovenia and Lithuania we have very recent knowledge of playing them which I think is advantageous although having said that a year’s a long time in football and it could be a year and half before we play them and their teams could change enormously in that period of time”.
“I drive past Wembley every day to get to Cobham”.
Scott rejoined her team after a two-week vacation following a World Cup that saw four of her club teammates oust Canada 2-1 in the quarter-final.
It’s the first time the women’s final has been held at England’s national stadium and a record crowd is already assured with more than 27,000 tickets sold. Chelsea go into this match as favourites but how do you see the game going?
“We will come up against a high quality of opposition and experienced players, although it is always risky to base too many judgments on these games”.
One of those came in 2007 as Vic Akers’s assistant when Arsenal Ladies clinched the Quadruple of domestic treble and European Cup.
“After coming so close last season (to the WSL 1 title) everyone has talked about it, will Chelsea do it?” Rafferty and Spence were two of the three unfortunate Chelsea players to miss in that shootout.
This season, however, Hayes is full-time at Chelsea and only helps out at the family business a couple of days a week.
“There were a lot of teams in there you don’t really want, can do without that, and say some groups may have been better for us and some worse”.
Hayes was delighted with her side’s display and expressed her pride at securing the cup. “Those things are all a factor in improved performances”.
But it took until the half-hour mark for them to create the first real chance of the game, when Aluko’s pace and guile – effective throughout – put her in behind the Notts defence and beyond ‘keeper Carly Telford, but the England worldwide could only hit the side-netting from a tight angle. It’s just the way you bounce back from the mistakes, ‘ Flaherty said.
The game was surprisingly open for a cup semi-final, as both teams had many opportunities to score, especially early on.

“I wouldn’t like to think that”, said the former Celtic boss.
