The Sacramento Kings took the forward with their eight overall pick.

Likewise, Murray was projected to go as high as tenth overall to the Milwaukee Bucks, but as the lottery passed, many were surprised Murray wasn’t selected until the Spurs took him 29th overall, the second to last selection in the first round.

The others include: C.J Wilcox (28th, 2014), Terrence Ross (8th, 2012), Tony Wroten Jr.

With a collection of young but movable assets, the Suns have a ton of flexibility to make a move in any direction. It’s a great fit for me.

Coach Watson and GM Ryan McDonough had a hard time holding back their enthusiasm about each of their new toys, and it was a welcomed change to hear players exhibit a desire to play with the Suns organization. “… but I did find time to work individually and work on every aspect of my game to improve it”.

Elk Grove’s Marquese Chriss was a King for mere minutes on Thursday night before being dealt from his hometown team – which took him with the No. 8 overall pick in the National Basketball Association draft – to the Phoenix Suns. Hammons’ offensive game has also developed well, including showing the ability to step out and knock down 15 to 18 footers.

Even as Chriss dealt with a brief bout of disappointment, the collective excitement in the Suns’ front office was growing.

The possibilities with the No. 13 pick this year are aplenty.

Ivan has played for the last two seasons on Maryland’s team, mostly as a depth option off the bench who’s played in blowouts against lower-echelon opponents. “I really like him”.

The 7-foot-1, 225-pound Bender has played for Maccabi Tel Aviv in each of the last three seasons, and he had a 43-point, 21-rebound game last season.

Still, the Seattle native and former Rainier Beach High standout, produced one of the finest seasons in Husky history. The 6-foot-9 Chriss’ stock has shot up the draft board with his athleticism and shooting touch but he is considered a raw talent.

He ranks first among UW freshmen in assists, second in points and steals, and third in rebounds.

“I’m just going to be myself”, Ingram said. “A lot of things happened and I got slotted down a little bit, but I’m just thankful to be in this position that I’m in”.

Murray is slated to earn $950,200 next season and $992,000 in 2017-18. Then Silver stepped to the podium in New York City where the NBA Draft was held and announced Chriss’ selection.
