Man finds his phone after it fell almost 10000 ft. from plane
The Wichita Falls Occasions Report Information reported Thursday that Ben Wilson says his cellphone nonetheless works.

A drop in pressure caused the airplane’s door to open by about three inches, enough time to send the iPhone to the ground.
“The pressure popped and a newspaper flew out but I didn’t see the phone go”, Wilson told NBC News.
He realized that his iPhone had been sucked out of the plane during the accident only upon landing. “After we got back I looked for it on the floor [of the plane] and in my briefcase but couldn’t find it”.
Wilson, who owns Gas Corporation of America in Wichita Falls, along with an employee, used an app to narrow the search to near Jacksboro.
“I met Ben at the airport and we checked for the phone, even wondered if it might have been left in a rental vehicle”. Then, with the help of a donkey they had befriended on the way (seriously), they found the phone lying under a tree.
Wilson says he confirmed the distance his iPhone fell thanks to another bit of technology: the flight-tracking site FlightAware, which provided his altitude.
Surprisingly, it worked. The iPhone showed up some 70 miles away in Joplin, Texas.

While it seems like a tall tale, the surprising alliance between Wilson and the donkey while recovering his iPhone that fell 9,300 ft. was a story that could only happen in Texas. Wilson said the screen wasn’t shattered, and only one element was missing: a protective case that contained an external battery.
