BET’s tribute will include Prince’s longtime collaborator Sheila E., along with D’Angelo, The Roots, Janelle Monae, and Steve Wonder, who was also part of Madonna’s tribute. It appears as though a number of artists have plans to pay homage to Prince through performance during the 2016 BET Awards as well.

E! Online also revealed who else could be leaving the big awards event a victor on June 26, revealing that Drake is leading the nominations pack with nine nominations, while Beyoncé and Rihanna are following close behind with five nominations each.
The 15th annual award show is slated to honor deceased stars like Prince, as well as those now dominating in music, entertainment and sports.
In addition, actor Samuel L. Jackson will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to Hollywood.
Some notable performers for the night include Alicia Keys, Usher, Future, Jennifer Hudson, Tori Kelly, Erykah Badu, Desiigner, Young Thug, French Montana, Fat Joe, Maxwell and more.
