Apple TestFlight now supports new iOS 10, watchOS 3 and tvOS apps

Basically, Apple is aware that the Messages app is the most used app on iOS, so they simply wanted to “make a difference in how people experience iOS, it’s Messages”.

When iOS 10 is finally released this fall, users will be able to remove the app along with any data he or she has encoded into it, including code configurations. According to Apple senior vice president of software engineering Craig Federighi, iOS users can remove apps from the home screen but not completely delete them from the device. He shared screenshots of the feature running in Xcode, showing Apple’s Messages app with a black background. Apple has been criticized in the past for forcing iPhone and iPad users to keep the built-in apps.

On Monday, Apple previewed iOS 10 at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference. Developers writing apps for iOS 10, watchOS 3 and tvOS can now take advantage of the latest TestFlight application, too.

If removed, the app won’t be available elsewhere i.e. you won’t see stock info in the Notification Center or as Glances or Complications on your Apple Watch. The developer betas of the operating system is now available to iOS Developer Program members, while a public beta program will be available to iOS users in July. The update to the Messages feature will also be a “doozy”, with new support for inline videos, emoji predictions, text bubble effects and even handwritten messages, Federighi said.

Also don’t forget, this just the first iOS 10 beta.

The next update to the Mac operating system is to be called macOS Sierra, and looks set to become one of the biggest updates yet, not only by name but new features as well.
