So the studio is certainly aware of the enormous pushback against the ending by the fans- was that something that factored into their development process for Mass Effect Andromeda at all? On the other hand, the second and third book will be released in March and September 2017, respectively. According to BioWare head Aaryn Flynn, they did this on goal because in the previous “Mass Effect” games, the male character was the first to be introduced while players only chanced upon the opportunity to use a female player. The series of four canonical novels is set to kick off in August this year with the release of Mass Effect Andromeda: Initiative, by The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms author N. K. Jemisin. In an interview with Eurogamer, Bioware executive Aaryn Flynn explained how the times have changed where many games previously only featured iconic male characters. Our games let you choose your main character, I think everyone gets that nowadays. From here, we will be able to see if Commander Shepard has a big role to play in shaping Mass Effect 4 Andromeda.
