Laurent Blanc out as coach at Paris Saint-Germain
Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed today that Laurent Blanc has been released back into the wild following three successful years at the Ligue 1 goliaths.

“Both parties have discussed and signed on June 27 a settlement contract that preserved their interests”, PSG said in a statement on Monday.
Jean-Louis Gasset, assistant coach, and Philippe Lambert, physical trainer, also leave the club as part of this agreement amicably.
The former France captain spent three years as boss of PSG, winning 11 trophies.
But while Blanc’s PSG swept all before them in France it was the side’s failing in Europe that has cost Blanc his job.
Without naming Blanc, his demise appeared likely.
Shortly before PSG’s home match against Chelsea in the Champions League in February, a poisonous atmosphere enveloped the club after Aurier was suspended for insulting Blanc and some of his teammates in an online video. He departed the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan earlier in the month and is available to take charge, bringing with him an unrivalled recent pedigree in European competition.
Aurier was suspended but returned in time to play against City in April, reportedly against the wishes of Blanc.
– Under Blanc, Les Bleus recorded their third best series of results ever, playing 25 consecutive matches without defeat. “We showed our limitations over the two games”.

– After starting life as a midfielder with Montpellier, Blanc switched to defence and had spells with Barcelona, Olympique Marseille, Inter Milan and Manchester United, where he won the Premier League in his final season as a player in 2003.
