Steve Kerr Call 3 Of 6 Curry Fouls ‘Absolutely Ridiculous’

Point guard Stephen Curry and head coach Steve Kerr were each fined $25,000 for separate incidents, NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Kiki VanDeWeghe announced.

Curry was ejected for throwing his mouthpiece into the crowd with 4:22 left in the fourth quarter, after being called for his disqualifying sixth foul.

Both Kerr and Curry would be wise to look at themselves, rather than the officiating, as they move ahead to Game 7.

Back-to-back MVP Curry was fouled out and argued the call before being given his marching orders, following a questionable decision as Golden State Warriors lost 115-101 to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Golden State believed there were some phantom whistles that went against them in crucial spots, most notably against Steph Curry, which eventually led to him losing his cool and throwing his mouthpiece.

Game 7 is Sunday on the Warriors’ home floor in Oakland, California.

We’ll let Ayesha Curry’s Twitter feed pick up the story from here. I won’t be silent.

She later deleted the tweet saying it was written in the heat of the moment “because the call was uncalled for”. That’s just kind of my perception of the plays and I had a reaction to it. Lue felt James, who also had seven turnovers, was hit numerous times but never got the benefit of a foul call. Tensions grew when his mouth piece hit Andrew Forbes, son of Cavaliers Minority Owner Nate Forbes. The Cavs needed super-human LeBron to win this series and that is exactly what they have gotten in the last two games.

Thursday night, things got tense on and off the court when Ayesha took to Twitter after her husband did this to foul out of the game.

Ayesha said that just 10 minutes before the game started, security still wouldn’t allow her party into the arena.

“He had every right to be upset”, Kerr said.
