Windows 10 auto-upgrades are like a sick, cruel joke being played on us by this point. Developer Insiders will now take the new build out for test drives to check if the new bug fixes work as intended. Notifications will continue to appear, but they’ll be stored in the Action Centre until they’re dismissed, which is great if you’re never quick enough to act on a notification before it disappears. Microsoft had appealed the initial judgment but dropped that appeal last month.
During an upgrade, the Windows 10 setup program confirms that the underlying copy of Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 is properly activated.

The problem is that not everyone wants to upgrade but the offer still rears its head nearly every time that a Windows PC is on.
Since Microsoft introduced Windows 10 past year, it has been pushing customers running older versions of the operating system to upgrade.
In response to a request for comment about the Windows 10 upgrade push, a Microsoft representative emailed a statement from the company. By March, 2016, over 300 million computers were running Windows 10, as previously reported by the Inquisitr.
With Windows 10, Microsoft has completely changed things with a so-called “Action Centre”.
I’ll have more details after I get the chance to test this feature more fully. Windows Vista is going to see EOL next year. I did the downgrade on a machine and I had Windows 7 back exactly like I left it and nothing was lost.

Microsoft is making a Desktop App Converter tool available that takes a traditional Windows installation file, runs it inside an isolated Windows environment, and then captures the installation into an Appx file that can be distributed in the Windows Store. I have one PC that performed this connection automatically.
