We are now in unchartered waters, nobody really knows what is going to happen.
The Sinn Fein veteran said the region is in “unchartered waters” and he would seek “urgent” talks with the Irish and Scottish governments and European Union institutions on “how we move forward in the best interests of all of our people”.
“We believe that the Northern Ireland Assembly and the Scottish parliament have the opportunity to say no”.
He said that there will be no immediate change to the free flow of people, goods and services between our islands.
While Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon wants another Independence Referendum.
“I am very sorry that the result of the referendum is for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union”.
The Taoiseach said that the Government has engaged in detailed contingency planning for the possibility of a Brexit.
Today, visitors drive right on through as though they are going from CT to MA.

“In the weeks and months ahead we will be working with both the Scottish government and the Northern Ireland Executive on all these matters”, Ms Villiers told the BBC’s Sunday Politics.
Ulster Unionist leader Mike Nesbitt said Northern Ireland faced five to ten years of uncertainty.
First Minister Arlene Foster said; “I think this a good result for the United Kingdom”.
“Any further referendums in Northern Ireland would cause a greater level of division than we have now and is therefore in my view particularly unhelpful”. A BBC/RTE survey in November found that 30% of voters in Northern Ireland would like to see a united Ireland in their lifetime.

He added, “Ireland should make every effort to play its role in the continued evolution of the European Union and be at the European Union negotiating table engaging in the discussions to ensure the potential outcomes of any negotiations are in the best interests of Ireland, our people and our economy”.
