Garlin: ’51 percent’ chance of more ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’

There’s a 51% chance HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm will be back for a new season, cast member Jeff Garlin said at TCA during a Q&A for his other series, ABC’s The Goldbergs.

In the end, he believes there to be “a decent chance” for more Curb, saying, “51%. Not good, not unsafe, respectable”, Garlin advised a TV critics’ assembly Tuesday. “Larry David is so goddamn rich that he doesn’t have to do anything unless it’s good!”

“Yeah, I’m in touch with him”, Garlin said when a reporter asked if he’d spoken recently to Curb creator Larry David.

“Curb is the only show in TV history that only moves forward owing to the creator’s decision based “entirely on creativity”, Garlin said”. “He does not need to embarrass himself”. So it’s pretty pure.

David, who plays a tongue-in-cheek version of himself on the show, has been otherwise occupied.

Rotten Tomatoes shared that Lombardo talked with David after the premiere of David’s Broadway show Fish In The Dark.

HBO is patiently ready for David, the channel’s programming president, Michael Lombardo, informed the Television Critics Association summer time assembly final week. “I feel he is having fun with his life, and I feel he’ll come again to it. And when he comes again, we’ll determine it out”.

Nothing is deliberate for subsequent yr, Lombardo stated, however he would not be stunned if the present returned sooner or later.

Goldbergs” creator/exec producer Adam Goldberg said the series would open its third season with an episode that paid homage to the 1982 comedy “Risky Business”, in keeping with the 1980s-set show’s pattern of paying tribute to films of the era.
