Huawei Will Continue With Android As Long As It Stays Open
You may be astonished but Google has the know-how, and has created the operating system for Androids and almost 80% Smartphones worldwide are running on this OS.

Google’s Android operating system powers four out of five smartphones worldwide, which are produced by third parties like Samsung.
The Google-branded phone, slated for release by the end of this year, “would tighten (Google’s) grip on mobile software and see it compete directly with the iPhone”, according to the UK’s Telegraph, which cited unnamed sources.
After nearly 9 years of being in the industry, the company is now planning to launch its own smartphone by the end of this year.
Just last week, The Information reported that Huawei had put together a team of engineers to build a new operating system that could one day replace Android as the company’s go-to software for smartphones and tablets.
Sundar Pichai, Google’s CEO had earlier claimed that “our plan is still to work with hardware partners”. While Google has been releasing Nexus Devices, they are all launched in partnership with a Smartphone vendor, who manufactures it for them!
In addition to its Nexus devices, Google is also experimenting with an Android-based modular smartphone called Project Ara.
It’s also not sure whether the new device will be falling under the Nexus range.

Its own phone would allow Google to control the software, securing the future of services such as the Google search engine and Google Play app store that run on it. It is possible that Google wants to finally follow Apple’s strategy and launch its own smartphone to pursue defragmentation.
