Durant is an unrestricted free agent and the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers are among the teams Durant plans to meet with, according to ESPN.

Though the Thunder remain atop Durant’s list of off-season options, the 2014 league MVP stated his ultimate goal is to sign with the organization most likely to bolster his chances of capturing an elusive NBA Championship. Look for Durant to stay with the Thunder at least one more year.

Durant is also “considering” a meeting with the New York Knicks, who recently acquired guard Derrick Rose from the Chicago Bulls.

Beyond Duncan and Ginobili, the Spurs may also lose big men Boban Marjanovic and David West to free agency this season, thus the potential need to sign new players in order to get ready for another quest for yet another National Basketball Association championship.

Durant is expected to meet with the Clippers in NY.

Whether or not the Knicks ultimately secure a meeting with Durant, they’re an extreme long-shot to sign the summer’s most coveted free agent.

“Durant’s public and private criteria for the free-agent selection process have pertained to a singular focus: the chance to win titles immediately”, Wojnarowski reported.

Durant earned $20.1 million with the Thunder last season.

A report from The Oklahoman by Erik Horne says the Miami Heat could be in the lead in the Kevin Durant sweeptakes.

If he is healthy, he can drop 30 points, 10 rebounds and five assists any given night.

Everyone knows who the big fish in free agency is.

Durant has been in NY in advance of Monday’s official unveilng of the 12-man squad that will represent USA Basketball at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

With Kobe Bryant enjoying retirement and the Lakers undergoing a complete rebuild, the Lakers aren’t a destination for a win-now thinker like Durant.
