Here’s Your First Look at Willow Smith’s Chanel Campaign

According to a press release, Smith was selected because she’s “the embodiment of her generation’s spirit”, and her “youth and energy charmed Karl Lagerfeld…”

Willow Smith is fronting a new eyewear campaign for fashion house Chanel. And this isn’t even the first time she’s been featured by an esteemed fashion and beauty brand – just past year, she appeared in this Marc Jacobs campaign. You can check out her effortless cool-girl swag in the two videos below. The video was shot by Lagerfeld himself and makes Smith one of the youngest face’s of Chanel.

The 15-year-old joins actresses Diane Kruger, Kristen Stewart, and Keira Knightley, who are among the French brand’s other style ambassadors, while fellow celebrity offspring, 16-year-old Lily-Rose Depp has also featured in a Chanel eyewear campaign. She was obviously going to be blessed being the daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith but this just gives her an edge.

The campaign features a variety of optical designs and sunglasses that will be available in CHANEL boutiques and at authorized retailers, starting in June 2016.

In the black-and-white filmed spots for the campaign, Willow can be seen rocking eye glasses, a peace sign clip in her hair and a septum piercing.
